We believe everyone has gifts that can be used in service to others. FIJF warmly welcomes volunteers of all faiths, backgrounds, and beliefs - including those of no faith - who share our commitment to treating our immigrant neighbors with dignity, compassion, and respect. Whatever your skills or experience, there may be a place for you in this work.
Your gift helps remove financial barriers to quality legal representation, provide practical support for families facing an immigration crisis, and sustain the work of justice and mercy in our community. Every gift, large or small, helps us respond when our neighbors need it most.
We believe prayer matters. God invites us to cast our cares upon Him because He cares for us, and we trust that He hears when His people call upon Him. We invite you to pray with us, for our neighbors, and for the work of justice and mercy in our community.
There is no single way to serve. Some people have time to give, others bring professional skills, community connections, or a willingness to simply show up when a neighbor needs someone beside them. Whatever you bring, there may be a place for you in this work.
Show Up
Provide transportation, accompany someone to court or an appointment, help navigate community resources, or simply be a steady presence during a difficult season.
Share Your Skills
Put your professional, creative, or administrative experience to work. We welcome skills in areas such as finance, fundraising, communications, technology, photography, design, translation, legal services, and nonprofit administration.
Support a Family
Sometimes the most meaningful thing we can offer is relationship. Share a meal, help meet a practical need, welcome a family into your community, or simply become a trusted friend and neighbor.
Strengthen Our Community
Help with outreach, community events, education and advocacy, resource development, or building relationships with churches, businesses, nonprofits, attorneys, and other local partners.
Help Us Grow
Use your experience and leadership to help strengthen FIJF itself through committee or board service, organizational development, fundraising, strategic planning, or other areas that help us serve our neighbors well.
You don’t have to know exactly where you fit. Tell us a little about yourself, and we’ll explore the possibilities together.
Your generosity makes it possible for FIJF to respond when an immigrant neighbor or family is facing a crisis.
Your gift helps remove financial barriers to quality legal representation, provide practical support when detention or family separation disrupts everyday life, and sustain the work of justice and mercy in our community.
Whether helping with the cost of an attorney, meeting an urgent need for a family in crisis, or strengthening FIJF's ability to continue this work, every gift becomes part of a larger commitment to walk alongside our immigrant neighbors with dignity, hope, and belonging.
Every gift matters. Every gift helps us be there when a neighbor needs us.
DONATE NOWPrayer is not simply a way to support this ministry, it is foundational to it. We depend upon God for wisdom, provision, open doors, and the strength to serve our neighbors faithfully. We invite you to regularly bring this work and the people we serve before Him.
Pray for peace in uncertainty, protection in vulnerable circumstances, strength during separation and detention, and hope as families navigate difficult legal processes.
Pray that justice would be done, that mercy would be shown, and that those making decisions affecting immigrant families would act with wisdom, integrity, and compassion.
Pray that God would provide the financial resources, attorneys, community partners, volunteers, and practical assistance needed to respond generously and wisely when needs arise.
Pray for our board, volunteers, attorneys, partners, and future staff - that God would give them wisdom, endurance, humility, compassion, and a willingness to serve their neighbors well.
Pray that God would guide our decisions, open the right doors, protect the integrity of this ministry, and keep us faithful to His call to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him.
